Anna Dawson

After graduating from Whitehouse’s Creative Direction & Styling degree, Dawson started her own event-styling and planning business in her hometown of Sydney. In 2014, Dawson decided on whim to move her life to Paris, having always dreamed of living there, yet not knowing a word of of the language.

On her second day in the city, Dawson treated herself to a pink helium balloon for her birthday. As she walked through the streets the balloon proved an effective ice breaker. And so The Balloon Diary was born: a blog and Instagram account filled with whimsical photos of Dawson's Parisian life, each one starring a pink balloon. Her instagram account alone, has amassed just under 150k followers.

"Attending the Whitehouse Institute to study Creative Direction and Styling was a game changer. With little belief in my creative abilities, it was the encouragement and invaluable lessons taught to me by my teachers that gave me the confidence to trust in my ideas and pursue a creative path that would eventually lead to a career. I am now a blogger based in Paris where I collaborate with brands all over the world to create content. My time at the Whitehouse Institute was the first step in leading me to where I am today".
