Whitehouse works with careers advisors, career practitioners and teachers to help students discover a future in design. We run hands-on school workshops at our Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane campuses or at your school, and can tailor a program to suit your class. Your students can also get a head start with our Certificate III in Design Fundamentals, which they complete while still at school. For educators, our professional development workshops keep you up to date with current industry practice, so you can bring fresh ideas back to the classroom. We also offer group campus tours and an annual Open House.

HIGH SCHOOL WORKSHOPS

School Workshops are practical beginner one or two day workshops designed for secondary school students that can be held at your school or at Whitehouse Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane campuses. These workshops aim to introduce design concepts, and develop skills that will prepare students for further studies in design. School Workshops are suitable for students from Yr 5 through to Yr 12 who are studying design or the creative arts (textiles, design and technology, visual arts, drama (costume)...

TAILORED PROGRAMS

We will work with you to tailor a School Workshop program that meets the specific design and/or illustration skills your students need. For developing a specialised School Workshop, or to book one of the below options please contact us.

VOCATIONAL EDUCATION & TRAINING COURSES

CERTIFICATE III

For students interested in design, or even if they're unsure of what to consider, Whitehouse offers the exciting opportunity to develop foundation skills in art & design, via our Vocational Education and Training (VET) course: Certificate III in Design Fundamentals (CUA30720).

Our Vocational students are curious, creative thinkers who come to Whitehouse from all over the country. They challenge and inspire each other while learning from faculty who are practicing artists and designers.

Whitehouse are passionate about educating the future design leaders and this is why we offer teacher professional development workshops to ensure you or your staff are up to date with the latest design knowledge to equip your students with the latest and greatest design education.

WORKSHOPS

We offer a broad range of workshops in Fashion Design, Interior Design, and Creative Direction & Styling. From foundation sewing workshops to workshops in StyleCAD and Gerber.

Bring your school to one of our campuses - we'd love to show you around. Our world-class facilities are located in the heart of Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

OPEN HOUSE

Our Open House (Open Day) is normally held in August annually. Our next event is in 2027. Smaller online or in-person info sessions are held periodically.
