Security and Privacy

The purpose of this statement is to let users of this web site know what information is collected about them when they visit this site and how this information is used.

Security of Information

Whilst our internal network and databases are protected from unauthorised access using current technologies and strict password policies there are inherent risks associated with the transmission of information via the internet. For those who do not wish to use electronic means of communication, you may telephone or write directly to the Institute using these contact details.

Data sent across the internet is typically visible to observers and to prevent unauthorised access to information which should be private, data needs to be encrypted before being sent.

When purchasing from Whitehouse Institute of Design, Australia on this website your financial details are passed through a secure server using 128-bit SSL encryption. SSL is a commonly used encryption protocol supported by most modern browsers and we encrypt any credit card information you enter on our site before passing it our payment provider.

Our payments are processed by ANZ's eGate secure payment gateway. Your complete credit card number is masked as you enter it and it can never be viewed or stored by us. Your details are submitted directly to the payment gateway and all payments are fully automated with an immediate response from the bank.

As a Level 1 service provider ANZ eGate is required to remain PCI DSS compliant at all times, undertaking yearly audits and quarterly network scans from an external Qualified Security Assessor to ensure compliance is maintained. ANZ eGate's current PCI DSS compliance certificate is available on request. If you have any questions regarding our security policy, please contact us via our contact page or at enquiry@whitehouse-design.edu.au.
