Offensive Material

The Australian Broadcasting Services Amendment (Online Services) Act sets out a formal procedure to be followed when material published on a web site is deemed offensive. Consistent with this, Whitehouse Institute of Design Australia will follow procedure for the removal of material found to be offensive by the Australian Broadcasting Authority (ABA).

Any complaints relating to material believed to be offensive by a user of this site may be directed to the Australian Broadcasting Authority, (toll free telephone 1800 226 667), who if satisfied the material is offensive, will issue a Take Down Notice to the Institute.

Independently of the above process, any viewer of this web site who encounters material that they regard as offensive is invited to bring it to the attention of the Web Content Manager. If it is agreed that the material is offensive it will be removed.

Whitehouse reserves the right to verify academic qualifications as supplied by you in your Application for Enrolment to the Whitehouse Institute of Design, Australia. No personal information will be given to a third party without your consent, except where required by law.

On occasion, and as required by law, Whitehouse Institute Pty Ltd. may be required to disclose the personal information of students, staff and clients to outside organisations, providing such organisations are aware of our published Privacy Policy and agree to comply. This includes accounting auditors and lawyers, Government and regulatory authorities such as The Commonwealth Department of Education, ATO (Australian Taxation Office), ASQA (Australian Skills Quality Authority), TESQA (Tertiary Education, Quality Standards Agency) and IMMI (Department of Immigration and Citizenship).

Accreditation

Whitehouse Institute of Design, Australia is a private higher education provider registered by the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA). Whitehouse is approved to deliver the accredited Bachelor of Design with specialisations in Fashion Design, Interior Design and Styling & Creative Direction to local and overseas students in Victoria and New South Wales. The registration details are included in the TESQA National Register. TESQA Provider No: PRV12065.

All courses offered by Whitehouse Institute are subject to minimum numbers.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

By accepting a place in any one of the Whitehouse Institute’s courses, the student enters into an agreement to study a course for the expected published duration of the enrolled program of study – their enrolment then is bound by the terms and conditions of the Cancellation and Refund Policy. Tuition Assurance

Whitehouse has met the tuition assurance requirements of the Higher Education Support Act (HESA) as a member of the Australian Council for Private Education and Training (ACPET).
