Japanese influences and contemporized silhouettes of the 1920’s artist Erte are the basis for the signature collection by Whitehouse Institute of Design-Australia graduate Alison Davis. Her garments are powerful expressions of beauty, from an original and innovative young designer. Alison’s collection has strong structural lines and silhouettes, and is constructed using a broad variety of vintage and modern fabrics, in a striking colour palette of neutrals, blues and coral. Her collection was featured at the Mercedes Benz Fashion Festival in Brisbane this week.
As a finalist in the COFFEE CLUB AUSTRALIAN FASHION GRADUATE OF THE YEAR AWARD, Alison has shown a collection of men and womenswear which exemplifies her love of design, whilst reinforcing her place at the forefront of contemporary fashion design. It is a magnificent collection designed by a gifted young graduate of the Whitehouse Institute of Design-Australia.
