Year 12 students from High Schools across New South Wales converged on the Whitehouse Institute of Design Sydney Campus this January to complete their VET in Schools course. Each student will leave the Whitehouse Institute with a Certificate II qualification in Fashion Visualisation, Interior Decoration Visualisation or Style Visualisation.
The major piece of work saw the students work together in groups within their specialisation taking inspiration from the botanical gardens to develop concept drawings and transform them into garments using recycled paper.

Whitehouse Institute Sydney and Melbourne Campuses hosted over 300 budding designers during the Summer 2009 Short Courses. Students from each discipline – Fashion Design & Drawing, Interior Decoration & Drawing, and Styling & Design Coordination – received expert tuition from a variety of industry savvy teachers. The week-long workshops focused on practical applications and developed each student’s ability to capture design ideas for industry relevant presentations.
Introductory Winter Short Courses commence on Monday 13 July 2009 followed by Advanced Short Courses commencing Monday 20 July 2009. Click here for more details on course content and requirements.

Vibrant colours and edgy poses provided the theme for the photo shoot of the 2008 graduating student collections.
Featured collections included those designed by Bachelor of Design graduates Kate Armstrong, Natalie Foran, Billie Whitehouse, Madelyn Blom, Bianca Pizem and Alison Davis and Interior Design pieces by Michelle Klisowsky, Andrew Boustani and Anna Pyke. Styling students Kate Peters, Vikki Ing and Ceris Mosely assisted the models into their garments and ensured the frills were ruffled and the accessories were just right for each shot.
