short course information

short courses  fees, timetables & course requirements

Maximum numbers per class apply, once reached, new applicants are wait-listed until minimum numbers are met. Classes are subject to cancellation if minimum numbers are not met.

Applicants must complete introductory short course before taking the advanced short course.

The short courses outlined are non-accredited courses.

Each drawing short course included tuition and reference cost, but excludes art materials. All short course students will be required to supply their own art materials.

  • Full payment for short courses and art kits (if required) must accompany Short Courses Application Form.
  • Art kits must be ordered at least 15 days prior to workshop. You can order your Art Kit on the Short Courses Application Form.
  • The following payment methods are acceptable: Personal or Bank Cheque, Telegraphic Transfer or Credit Cards (Visa or Mastercard). Please note: Cheques are to be made payable to Whitehouse Institute of Design, Australia. 2% surcharge on credit card payments.
  • Fees are transferable but not refundable.
  • All prices include GST. Prices are subject to change without notice.

art kits and course requirements

Students are required to supply their own art materials.

An art kit is available for purchase (indicate "yes" on the application form in the short courses brochure) or can be assembled by the student.

In addition to the art kit materials, all students must supply their own:
eraser, scissors, sharpener, glue stick, ruler (at least 30cm), water container/cup and soft nylon paint brush (sml-med size).

Introductory Art Kit: $60 (all design classes)
2B pencil, A3 cartridge paper sketch block, A3 display folder (10 leaf), set of 12 water soluble coloured pencils (including white artist pencil), No 6 round brush, 2 professional markers (in Cool Grey and Cyan) and 2 black Artline pens: 0.2 mm & 0.6 mm sizes

Advanced Art Kit: $80 (advanced fashion classes only)
Introductory Art Kit plus set of 24 chalk pastels

Paper pack: $10 (introductory and advanced fashion classes only)
4 large sheets of Canson paper (approx A2 size) in black, light brown, soft grey and dull red (or you can assemble any colours provided one sheet is black)

 

Only one art kit is required if completing both introductory and advanced classes.

It is optional to purchase a Whitehouse Art Kit but you must have all the required art equipment for the start of the short course.

how to apply

  1. Fill out Short Courses Application Form.
  2. Mail us your completed Application Form (with Art Kit order) and full payment (by cheque, credit card authorisation or money order, made out to 'Whitehouse Institute of Design, Australia). Alternatively fax with credit card details.
  3. Confirmation of acceptance of application and payment will be forwarded to you.
  4. Art Kits will be collected at Whitehouse on the first day of your selected Short Course.
