1996 - Amanda Commins

Can we have it all? Whitehouse Graduate Amanda Commins (Nee Townsend) says you can. Amanda recently had her second child, Harry, but has not missed a beat in the fashion industry. The wonder women that come out of Whitehouse Institute of Design, Australia can manage it all. You can have it all; work in a fabulous industry, travel the world and start a family.

"Going to the Whitehouse school of design was one of the most amazing experiences Whitehouse taught me so much about not only design but about myself and where I wanted my life to go.

From meeting some amazing new friends, to those crazy all nighters trying to get the design briefs completed Whitehouse showed me that with hard work, passion and determination my dreams really could come true."

Amanda has been working in the fashion industry for 12 years with such iconic Australian brands as Discovery Group, Table Eight and Cue clothing company. Whether in her personal life or career, Amanda believes if you follow your dreams you will never be disappointed. While at Cue Amanda was Product Manager for Offshore Programs; she assisted in building this side of the business including knitwear, shirting and an entirely new label. Fashion has become an important part of Amanda's life and job. She is planning to return to Cue after her maternity leave and says "Cue is such a wonderful place to work and I have loved all of the experiences I have had here."
