Geoff Nicholson graduated from Whitehouse Institute of Design in 2005 with an Advanced Diploma in Interior Design. Geoff was one of the few students in the class of 2005 who were awarded with a scholarship to study for their Masters in Italy, at the Academia Italiana in Florence.
Geoff came to Whitehouse Institute of Design hoping to expand and evolve his technical knowledge about Interior Design, to strengthen his creative knowledge. Studying at Whitehouse taught him that he would always need to be working on that, because the technical aspects of the design industry keep growing and evolving themselves, making it an ongoing process.
While Geoff is anxiously awaiting his plane ride to Italy, he is studying the Italian language, a musical and creative language in itself. Geoff is working in retail, with a goal in mind: he wants to work in as many diverse retail positions as possible in the short time he has until September, to learn as much as he can about retail and everything involving that.
Geoff is working on a personal and intimate project for his main hypothesis at the moment, about which he doesn’t want to give too many details: “This research may or may not end up being utilized in my Masters Thesis. For now though, I think I shall keep the details to myself, as I do not wish to give away too many hints until I have made my final conclusion on the matter.”
Geoff’s motto for working in the design industry: “Expect the unexpected”.
