2003 - Bernadette Allen

Bernadette Allen studied Fashion Design and Textiles at the Whitehouse Institute of Design, completing her Diploma studies in 2003.

In 2004, Bernadette launched her own pet wear label at an exclusive event hosted by former Miss World, Belinda Green and Dr Chris Brown of Channel 9’s Burkes Backyard. Bernadette’s designs were a huge success, with the likes of Deni Hines and Mathew Newton requesting special orders for their four legged friends.

In 2005, inspired by the birth of her son, Bernadette started working for Motherinc, Australia’s largest online parenting magazine. After a short amount of time Bernadette’s strong fashion background and award winning writing skills saw her being quickly promoted within the company. She is currently Motherinc’s Fashion and Beauty Editor, helping mums all over Australia to look their best.

Bernadette has a strong presence in the Media Industry. She is constantly featured in Sydney’s newspapers and appears on shows such as ‘Mornings with Kerri-Anne’ and ‘A Current Affair’, talking on family, social and fashion issues. Bernadette will be starring in an upcoming reality TV show on Channel 9 that is expected to air this August. The TV show will be entirely based on Bernadette and her fiancés wedding!

Bernadette believes the sky is the limit and although she has experienced great success to date, she says she has only just begun!!!
